Peek into Process.
This is a glimpse, a sliver, a small
bite of a bunch of practices and scores we have been working on over the
course of five rehearsals. It is not a "piece" as much as a sketch and a
moment to share us with you.
I read a quote that I liked very much the other day that said:
"The greatest gift we can give one another is rapt attention to one another's existence."
Performed and Created by Ida Katinka Fridan Pederson, Oneka von Schrader, Sabine Cmelniski and Paula Chavez.
Directed by Tiana Hemlock.

The Burkhard,

The project started from an exploration for constructing an entity which
continuously transforms without ever establishing a static condition or a
specific shape; an entity which manages to break free from any kind of form or system
and omits restriction. And if for the
sake of argument we assume that this entity is feasible, what are then the entailed
mechanisms to fulfill this physical condition?
However, during the research a paradox appeared. There was an attempt to
reach a condition that defies any law of directive, but yet, very detailed and
clear instructions were given to the body and mind in order to achieve a
certain state. It was thought that these instructions would serve in establishing
this obscure entity. What is this entity then? A generation of another form
which has been instructed? A living and breathing form which has the advantage
of choice? What are the possibilities of choice? How will the construction operate
once it starts acting upon free will?
